Description

The YSC 8K is a mouse signal control and passthrough unit built on custom firmware written from scratch. It supports the full polling range from 125 to 8000Hzand runs two protocols at the same time: the COM serial port andthe kmboxnet network protocol — so it works with any DMA or AI software you use, with no hardware changes.

Why YSC 8K?

Most control boxes on the market are built on open-source code pieced together from different places, and that shows in signal stability and in how the device appears to the system. YSC 8K is different: a custom USB stack and low-level firmware written from scratch, with a closed-loop architecture that leaks nothing outside it.

In practice, the signal stays clean and stable across the full polling range — even at 1000Hz — and high-polling devices run at full capacity with no drops or jitter.

Specifications

  • Housing: Black plastic with a textured anti-slip finish

Full polling range: 125 – 8000Hz

The device doesn't lock you to one rate. You can run any value within the full range, depending on your mouse and setup:

  • 8000Hz — for maximum smoothness with modern high-polling mice
  • 4000 / 2000Hz — a balance between smoothness and CPU load
  • 1000Hz — the classic mode, with a clean, stable signal and no jitter

Custom firmware · closed design

The firmware is written from scratch at a low level, along with a custom USB stack instead of relying on off-the-shelf libraries. The architecture is closed-loop, meaning the input/output cycle completes inside the device itself and nothing leaks out.

This also means you can set the mouse serial number yourself from the software, so the device appears to the system with the identity you choose.

Two protocols together: COM + NET

One of the most important features of the YSC 8K is that it supports both protocols in one device, so you pick the connection method that fits your setup:

  • COM — connects directly over the serial port; the simplest and fastest to set up
  • NET (kmboxnet) — control over the network; suited to dual-PC DMA setups and advanced environments

This means it works with any DMA or AI software that supports either protocol, without changing your hardware or buying a second unit.

Extra software features

  • Mouse interpolation — smooths mouse movement and spreads it evenly
  • Mouse curve — customize the acceleration and response curve
  • Jitter — fine control over movement details
  • Macros — create macros with eight keys
  • Controller-to-mouse conversion (Gamepad → Mouse) — map controller input to mouse movement
  • HID capture — read and analyze USB HID reports
  • Firmware update — two versions: v1 over the serial port, and v2 for Dual-MCU units over CDC
  • Command testing and documentation — a built-in section for testing commands and reading the protocol docs

How to set it up

  • Install the serial port driver on the PC, and run YSC 8K Driver as administrator
  • Find the COM port number in Device Manager, and select it in the Serial Connection section
  • Set the baud rate, then press Connect until the status changes to connected
  • If you're working over the network, start the kmNet service on port 5231 from the same software
  • Watch the signal in the Monitor section to confirm movement and buttons are read correctly

After the first successful setup, just connect in the same order each time.

What's in the box

  • Arabic installation and setup guide (PDF)

YSC 8K FAQ

Does it really support 8000Hz?

Yes, the device supports the full range from 125 to 8000Hz, and you can choose the right rate for your mouse and setup in the software.

What's the difference between the COM and NET protocols?

COM is a direct connection over the serial port and is the simplest to set up, while NET is the kmboxnet protocol over the network and suits dual-PC DMA setups. The device supports both, so you choose what works for you.

Does it work with the DMA or AI software I use?

It works with any software that supports the COM protocol or the kmboxnet protocol. Before you buy, tell us which software you use and we'll confirm compatibility.

Does it support controller passthrough?

Yes, the device supports controller passthrough, and the software also lets you convert controller input into mouse movement.

What does customizing the mouse serial number mean?

In the software you can enter a custom serial number for the device instead of the default one. It's written to the device, which then restarts to appear with the identity you set.

What does motion interpolation do?

It spreads mouse movement more smoothly between readings, so motion feels smoother, especially at high polling rates.

Do I need two PCs to use it?

Not necessarily. Over the COM protocol it runs with a direct setup, and over the NET protocol it runs in dual-PC DMA setups with a main PC and a second PC.

How do I update the firmware?

From the Firmware section in the software. There are two options: a v1 update over the serial port for single-MCU units, and a v2 update over CDC for Dual-MCU units.
